Hillary Angel Wilson was last seen on the evening of August 19, 2009 in Winnipeg's North End before she was found dead the next day near Highway 59 and the Perimeter Highway.

Hillary's body was found in a field just outside of Winnipeg on Wednesday, August 19th at about 7 pm.. At the time, RCMP said they were treating Wilson's death as a homicide, but so far, no arrests have been made in the case.

In 2013, Gwen Wilson, Hillary's mom, held a small vigil for her at 6 p.m. at Selkirk Avenue and McKenzie Street. Again in 2014, a small group of people gathered to remember 18-year-old Hillary Angel Wilson, five years after she was found dead.

To mark the fourth anniversary of the disappearance and death of Hillary Angel Wilson, friends and family gathered for a walk and candle light service.

Her family hosted a Justice for Hillary Memorial Walk in 2013, Monday morning where they marched to the Manitoba Legislature. Later, mourners gathered again at the Legislature for a candle light vigil. About 20 people attended the vigil.

Wilson's mother says it's cultural tradition to stop after four memorials but she won't stop looking for justice, "I wish this and many other cases could get solved," she told Global News. "I'm patiently waiting and trying to do what I can."
